Elaboration: The Bolter Shiraz is sourced from a range of the best performing vineyards of South

Australia’s premium wine region McLaren Vale. Our central aim with The Bolter is to showcase the

varietal strength of Shiraz, capturing its intensity and incredible depth of flavor. We have carefully

selected individual vineyards from a range of sub-regions and climates to match style. This

selectivity has given us the scope to maximize varietal character and deliver a wine that is powerfully

lifted and generous in flavor.

‘The Bolter’ – on the track – a horse that is loose or out of control. In the betting ring – a horse at

long odds. The Riggs family have long held a passion for horseracing with many shining stars

amongst their ranks. Predictably this Shiraz is seriously good but what is not so predictable is the

price.

Tasting Notes: The Bolter shows extremely lifted red fruits, as well as blackberries, and characters

of blueberry jam. The wine has a long, soft and juicy palate and lush mouth feel, bursting with

nuances of liquorice. It is an extremely approachable and drinkable Shiraz experience.
