This unique parcel of Grenache from vines planted in 1949 has
all the bright, opulent fruit exhibiting plush red fruits such as red
currant, red cherry and white plum, along a seamless tannin
profile due to partial whole-bunch fermentation.
Tasting Notes
The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo RISERVA “COLLE MAGGIO” is produced on the Colle Maggio hillside, in Villamagna, using Specific vineyard techniques to reduce yields per hectare, where only the best grapes are designated to the production of the riserva version.
Its deep, inky red colour will seduce you, inspiring calm and reflection.
Our 2019 Trilogy marks the 35th vintage of our flagship red wine, a bottling that dates back to 1984 when our family decided to make the finest wine possible by selecting fruit from the highest quality blocks from our estate vineyards in Napa Valley.
THE VINTAGE
Though rain was abundant in February, the skies cleared in spring,
allowing for plenty of sunlight to set the stage for plentiful and
even fruit set.
The 2023 Chardonnay is layered with tropical fruit notes of pineapple and mango counterpointed by a core of bright citrus fruits of Meyer lemon, quince, and kumquat then rounded out by granny smith apples, spice, and floral like perfume. The high-quality French oak is well integrated and the wine has amazing acidity for its richness and complexity.
We grow our Chardonnay in the coolest and southernmost part of the Estate, the vines range from 25-45 years old and benefit from the various marine soils, gently sloped terrain, and cooler temperature conditions that make the Carneros region ideal for growing Chardonnay.
TASTING NOTES -----------------------------------------
The Estate Winemaker’s Cuvee meets the palate with rich and full-
bodied flavors of black currant, red plums, and cassis, followed by
oak notes of cedar and vanilla.
